He is coming off of shoulder surgery and won't be ready to pitch till the second half of 2008. Stay away from this injury magnet. It is funny that the Yankees are going after him because the Yankees drafted Prior in the supplemental first round in 1998 out of high school but failed to sign him; he went on to attend Vanderbilt and then Southern Cal. Who knows what would have happened if the Yankees singed him.
One plus: He has never, to my knowledge, crashed a Porsche or went on the DL for a bruised ass.
