Pending physicals, the Blue Jays will send 31 year-old third baseman Troy Glaus to the Cardinals for 33 year-old third basemen Scott Rolen. There had been rumors that both teams were willing to their respective third basemen, so I guess they just swapped problems. Neither can stay healthy but I think that Glaus is a better player when healthy, so I think the Cards got the better end of the deal, which is good because it makes a division rival worse.
In other news, the Brian Roberts to Cubs deal may be dead.
