Posada To Be Ready To Assume Catching Duties In 09

When Jorge Posada missed most of this season with a torn labrum, many of us felt unsure about his future behind the plate. According to Joe Girardi, Posada will be able to catch 120 games next season. Now whether this is true remains to be seen, but if it is true it would be huge. Even if Jorge has just an average year for him, that is probably an immediate 3-4 win upgrade without even making any free agent acquisitions.
