Yankees Send Gene Michael to Japan

According to Mark Feinsand, the Yankees sent Gene Michael to Japan to scout players. Feinsand lists Koji Uehara, Kenshin Kawakami, both righthanders and Hitoki Iwase, a lefthanded reliever. This seems like a good idea, as Michael has a good eye for talent, and the last time the Yankees signed a Japanese player, there obviously was not enough scouting. This news does not mean that will sign one of those players, they are probably just doing their due diligence.

Well theirs a big difference between Gene Michaels and Paguiliriano, the guy who scouted Igawa.

I don't know much about any of them.
