Just another great job by Bleich. Through 6.1 innings he he gave up only two runs, one of them earned. He was cruising for the first six innings, striking out six and walking only one. St. Lucie managed to get one run off of him in the top of the fourth but that was largely a result of two errors made behind him in the field. He really ran into trouble in the seventh. He lost his control and gave up two doubles and a wild pitch that inning for the only earned run that St. Lucie would get off of him.
His line for the game:
6.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 WP, 11-2 GB/FB
His season numbers are looking great right now and Trenton is going to need a starter soon. Look for Bleich to get a promotion any day. It'll be interesting to see him tested against AA hitters.
